Current Events

I recently gave notice to the property management here at the Curley School in Ajo, that I would be moving.  I am initially heading to Bisbee, which is South of Tucson and basically an Arts community.   A small ex mining town it has an old world flavor and good traffic.  It is something of an Arts destination, so I expect to have more opportunities to market.  As a friend here says, '...lots of eyeballs...'.
It has been a very intense time.  It is walking into the unknown, thus some trepidation,  leaving friends here at the Curley School and the social net that has developed here at this barely developed Art Center.  The group energy in this cultural outpost reflects fairly well the larger cultural scene in America, so at that level leaving is sanity.  As Antonio would admonish, '..never become part of a group...'.  With me, live and learn seems to be the common practice.
In general, I am confronting my tendencies toward self importance, expecting my emotional body and state to be automatically honored.  Seeing with clarity my foolishness, allows me the space to accept the concurrent suffering with appreciation and even enlightenment, something I was incapable of as a younger man.
Getting my art work into storage is an important step for me.  As that will give me some freedom to move about with less committment to permanent residence.  Hopefully some day, I will be able to settle down a bit.
For now, I will be focused on relocating, art practice and music practice.
